Work Permit
Canadian Work Permit program offers numerous opportunities for foreign nationals to gain valuable Canadian work experience, contribute to the labour market, and build a pathway toward permanent residency. Whether you are an international graduate, a skilled professional, or the family member of a foreign worker or student, Canada provides various work authorization options to suit your situation.
A Canadian Work Permit is a legal document that allows foreign nationals to work in Canada temporarily under specific conditions. There are two main types of work permits: Open Work Permits and Employer-Specific Work Permits.
- Open Work Permits offer flexibility by allowing you to work for almost any employer in Canada. This includes programs such as the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for international graduates, spousal open work permits, and special categories for vulnerable workers, H-1B visa holders, and more.
- Employer-Specific Work Permits are tied to a particular employer and job offer. These include opportunities under programs such as the Global Skills Strategy, Caregiver Program, Agricultural Worker Program, and Francophone Mobility Program.
In addition, Canada offers work opportunities through initiatives like International Experience Canada (IEC) for youth, Bridging Open Work Permits (BOWP) for permanent residence applicants, and special pathways under programs such as the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), Agri-Food Pilot, and Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).
At A&M Canadian Immigration Law Corporation, we guide clients through the entire process, from identifying the right work permit category to ensuring compliance with IRCC requirements. Whether your goal is short-term work experience or a step toward permanent residency, our legal team is here to help you make your Canadian work journey smooth, secure, and successful.
