Family Class Immigration

Family Class Immigration
Family reunification is one of the core pillars of Canada’s immigration system. The Family Class Immigration Program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their close family members to become permanent residents of Canada- helping families build their lives together in safety, stability, and opportunity.
This immigration category reflects Canada’s belief that strong families are essential to social and economic growth. Whether it’s a spouse joining their partner, children reuniting with parents, or grandparents coming to live close to their loved ones, the Family Class ensures that distance does not keep families apart for long.
Who Can Be Sponsored Under Family Class
The Family Class category includes several sponsorship streams:
- Spouse, Common-law or Conjugal Partner Sponsorship – For individuals sponsoring their legally married or long-term partners.
- Dependent Children Sponsorship – For parents sponsoring their biological or adopted children under 22 years old (who are unmarried and financially dependent).
- Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) – For those sponsoring parents or grandparents for permanent residence.
- Super Visa Program – For parents and grandparents who wish to visit Canada for extended periods without becoming permanent residents.
At A&M Canadian Immigration Law Corporation, our experienced team helps clients navigate each step, from determining eligibility and preparing strong applications to communicating with IRCC and ensuring timely follow-up. We understand the emotional value of family reunification and work diligently to bring loved ones together in Canada.
