On March 13,
2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted Express
Entry Draw #289, inviting 975 candidates under the transport occupations
category. This was the first transport-focused category-based draw of the year,
highlighting the importance of this sector within Canada’s Express Entry
system. The minimum CRS score required for this round was 430.
Transport
category draws target skilled professionals in key roles that support Canada’s
logistics, supply chain, and transportation networks. With a CRS cut-off of
430, this draw created meaningful opportunities for candidates with experience
in eligible transport occupations, even if their profiles may not be as
competitive in general draws.
As transport
remains one of the core priority categories in Express Entry, applicants with
industry experience can benefit significantly from these targeted rounds.
