Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Draw – October 24, 2024

Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #231 on October 24, 2024, issuing a total of 253 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This draw focused on skilled workers in Manitoba, international graduates, and skilled workers overseas, supporting the province’s labour market and immigration priorities.

Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 50 candidates were invited, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 872. This reflects Manitoba’s emphasis on retaining highly qualified local talent to meet provincial workforce needs.

The International Education Stream issued 156 LAAs, supporting international graduates who have contributed to Manitoba’s economy and workforce.

For the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, 47 candidates were invited under a strategic recruitment initiative, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 703. These invitations help Manitoba employers attract skilled professionals from outside the province to fill targeted labour shortages.

Of the 253 LAAs issued in this draw, 43 were granted to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code, offering a pathway from provincial nomination to federal permanent residence.

This draw highlights Manitoba’s balanced approach to immigration, combining local retention with targeted overseas recruitment to strengthen the province’s workforce.
