Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #234 on December 18, 2024, issuing a total of 399 Letters of Advice to Apply
(LAAs) under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This draw
focused on international graduates and skilled workers overseas, reflecting
Manitoba’s ongoing commitment to attracting skilled talent to the province.
Under the International Education Stream, 297
candidates were invited. This stream supports international graduates who have
completed post-secondary education and meet eligibility requirements, helping
retain skilled talent within Manitoba’s workforce.
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 102 LAAs to
candidates invited through a strategic recruitment initiative. The
lowest-ranked candidate in this stream had a score of 630, demonstrating
the competitive selection process for overseas skilled workers.
Of the 399 LAAs issued in this draw, 43 were granted to
candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation
code, offering a pathway from provincial nomination to federal permanent
residence.
This draw highlights Manitoba’s strategic approach to
balancing local retention and targeted international recruitment, ensuring
skilled professionals are available to meet the province’s labour needs.
