Manitoba PNP Expression of Interest Draw
#103
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held Expression of
Interest (EOI) Draw #103 on November 19, 2020, issuing a total of 196 Letters
of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across its major immigration streams. This Manitoba
PNP draw reflected continued strategic selection aimed at meeting provincial
labour market demands.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream received the largest
share of invitations, with 144 candidates invited.
Lowest-ranked candidate invited: 526
The higher cutoff score signaled increased competition among
in-province applicants. Candidates with stable full-time employment, strong
language proficiency, and well-optimized Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles
were more likely to receive invitations in this round.
International Education Stream
Under the International Education Stream (IES), 30 Letters
of Advice to Apply were issued to eligible Manitoba graduates.
This stream does not use a ranking score system. Instead,
applicants must meet strict eligibility criteria, including completion of an
approved Manitoba post-secondary program and securing qualifying employment.
Accurate documentation and compliance with program requirements remain
essential for successful nomination.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 22 invitations in
this draw.
Lowest-ranked candidate invited: 769
The competitive cutoff score highlighted Manitoba’s targeted
approach to overseas recruitment. Selected candidates typically demonstrated
strong education credentials, relevant skilled work experience, high language
proficiency, and credible provincial connections aligned with Manitoba’s
economic priorities.
Of the 196 LAAs issued, 40 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code.
Candidates aligned with the federal Express Entry system benefit from faster
permanent residence processing following provincial nomination. A Manitoba
nomination provides an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
points, significantly increasing the likelihood of receiving an Invitation to
Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.
Expression of Interest Draw #103 demonstrated Manitoba’s
balanced immigration strategy, prioritizing skilled workers already
contributing to the provincial economy while maintaining selective yet
meaningful overseas recruitment. Monitoring MPNP draw scores, invitation
numbers, and stream trends remains essential for candidates preparing their
immigration pathway through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
