Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #235 on December 27, 2024, issuing a total of 276 Letters of Advice to Apply
(LAAs) under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This draw
focused on skilled workers in Manitoba, including occupation-specific
selections, reflecting the province’s priorities in addressing labour needs
across key sectors.
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 239
candidates from all eligible profiles were invited, with the lowest-ranked
candidate scoring 857, highlighting the competitive nature of the
selection.
The occupation-specific selection targeted candidates
in high-demand roles, including:
● Specialists in
surgery (NOC 31101)
● General
practitioners and family physicians (NOC 31102)
● Registered nurses
and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 31301)
● Nurse practitioners
(NOC 31302)
● Bus drivers, subway
operators, and other transit operators (NOC 73301)
Additionally, profiles in the restaurant
and food service management category (NOC 60030) were considered, with 19
LAAs issued and the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 632.
Of the 276 LAAs issued in this draw, 56 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code, providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal
permanent residence.
This draw demonstrates Manitoba’s continued focus on meeting
local labour needs through both general and occupation-specific streams,
ensuring critical sectors have access to skilled professionals.
