Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #208 on
January 25, 2024, issuing a total of 275 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across key Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) streams. This draw
continued Manitoba’s focus on candidates with local education, in-demand
skills, and strategic overseas recruitment.
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, candidates who
declared that they or their spouse had completed post-secondary education in
Manitoba were considered. This category issued 156 LAAs, with the lowest-ranked
candidate scoring 772, highlighting the province’s preference for applicants
with strong educational ties to Manitoba.
The International Education Stream invited 78 candidates who
met stream-specific eligibility requirements, reinforcing Manitoba’s commitment
to retaining international graduates who have already integrated into the
provincial labour market.
For the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, 41 candidates were
selected under a strategic recruitment initiative. The minimum ranking score for this group was 713, supporting Manitoba employers in addressing targeted
workforce needs.
Of the 275 LAAs issued in this draw, 29 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code, offering a streamlined pathway from provincial nomination to
federal permanent residence.
This MPNP draw highlights Manitoba’s continued emphasis on
education in the province, international graduate retention, and
employer-driven overseas recruitment.
