PNP Draw Issues 919 ITAs with CRS Cut-Off of 785
On March 30, 2022, IRCC conducted Express Entry Draw #219,
focusing exclusively on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. In this
round, 919 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued, and the lowest CRS score
required was 785, one of the higher thresholds among early 2022 PNP draws.
This draw reflected the strength and competitiveness of
provincial nominations, as candidates needed a solid base CRS score to
complement the 600-point provincial boost. Even applicants with moderate scores
benefited greatly, but those closer to the higher CRS range had a strong edge
in securing invitations.
The Provinces continued to select candidates aligned with
regional labor market needs. And skilled workers from sectors like healthcare,
technology, and trades were likely prioritized.
For many applicants, this round reinforced the strategic
importance of provincial nominations. Candidates who secured a PNP nomination
gained a significant advantage, dramatically increasing their chances of
receiving an ITA and moving quickly toward Canadian permanent residence.
