PNP Draw Issues 545 ITAs with CRS Cut-Off of 753
On May 11, 2022, IRCC held Express Entry Draw #222, once
again focusing on candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). In
this round, 545 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued, and the minimum CRS
score required was 753.
This draw invited fewer candidates compared to earlier PNP
rounds, but the CRS cut-off remained high, consistent with the 600-point boost
all PNP nominees received. This indicated that provinces were continuing to
select candidates with strong core profiles in addition to their nomination.
The lower number of ITAs suggests a more targeted approach
by provinces, likely focusing on specific occupations and regional needs. At
the same time, the CRS threshold confirmed that PNP nominees remain among the
most competitive applicants in the Express Entry system.
