PNP Draw Issues 590 ITAs with CRS Cut-Off of 741
On May 25, 2022, IRCC conducted Express Entry Draw 223, once
again targeting candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). In this
round, 590 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued, with the lowest CRS score
required set at 741.
This draw showed a steady pace in provincial-focused
selections, with the CRS cut-off continuing to trend slightly downward compared
to earlier rounds in the year. As always, the high CRS score reflects the
600-point boost that all PNP nominees receive automatically.
Draw 223 indicated that provinces were continuing to
nominate candidates in a structured and consistent manner, based on local labor
market needs. These candidates often have strong connections to a province
through employment, education, or in-demand skills.
Why this mattered for applicants:
– PNP remained the
most reliable route to PR in 2022
– Candidates with
moderate CRS scores could become competitive
– Provincial
selection aligned immigration with real economic needs
For skilled workers, this draw reinforced a clear strategy:
secure a provincial nomination to dramatically improve your chances of
receiving an ITA.
