First All-Program Draw of 2022 Issues 1,500 ITAs with CRS
Cut-Off of 557
On July 6, 2022, IRCC held Express Entry Draw #226, marking
the first All-Program draw of the year after a long series of PNP-only rounds.
In this historic draw, 1,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued, and the
minimum CRS score required was 557.
This draw was highly significant because it reopened the door for candidates from all Express Entry programs, including:
✔ Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
✔ Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
✔ Federal Skilled Trades (FST)
✔ Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
After months of focusing solely on
provincial nominees, IRCC finally resumed All-Program invitations. This
signaled a major policy shift and gave hope to thousands of candidates who had
been waiting in the Express Entry pool without PNP nominations.
The CRS cut-off of 557 was still relatively high, reflecting
the backlog and strong demand in the pool. However, it marked the start of
normalization in Express Entry draws after pandemic-era adjustments.
For many candidates, this draw was the moment their PR
journey restarted after a long pause.
At A&M
