The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #102 on November 5, 2020, issuing a total of 205 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across its main immigration streams. The
latest Manitoba PNP draw continued to prioritize skilled workers already
established in the province, while maintaining selective recruitment from
overseas.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream received the largest
share of invitations, with 166 candidates invited.
Lowest-ranked candidate invited: 461
The cutoff score reflected steady competition among in-province applicants.
Candidates with ongoing employment in Manitoba, competitive language scores,
and strong EOI profiles remained well-positioned to secure invitations under
this stream.
International Education Stream
Under the International Education Stream (IES), 23 Letters
of Advice to Apply were issued to eligible Manitoba graduates.
This stream does not operate on a points-based ranking
system. Instead, applicants must meet defined eligibility requirements,
including graduation from an approved Manitoba post-secondary institution and
securing qualifying employment. Proper documentation and compliance with
program guidelines remain essential for nomination approval.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 16 invitations in
this draw.
Lowest-ranked candidate invited: 708
The competitive cutoff score demonstrated Manitoba’s targeted approach to
selecting overseas candidates. Successful applicants typically possess strong
human capital factors, including higher education credentials, relevant skilled
work experience, language proficiency, and credible connections to Manitoba
aligned with provincial labour market needs.
Of the 205 LAAs issued, 7 were granted to candidates who declared
a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Candidates aligned with the federal Express Entry system
benefit from faster permanent residence processing once nominated. A Manitoba
provincial nomination adds 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points,
significantly increasing the likelihood of receiving an Invitation to Apply
(ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.
Expression of Interest Draw #102 reinforced Manitoba’s
structured and selective immigration strategy, balancing strong support for
in-province skilled workers with carefully targeted overseas recruitment.
Tracking MPNP draw results, ranking scores, and stream allocations remains
crucial for prospective immigrants preparing for future invitations under the
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
