Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #193 on
September 7, 2023, issuing a total of 558 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and
Skilled Worker Overseas streams.
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 230 candidates were invited through occupation-specific selection. Eligible profiles included
those currently employed in Manitoba in occupations identified with high labour
needs based on Statistics Canada data. The National Occupational Classification
(NOC) 2021 major groups considered ranged from specialized middle management
and professional occupations in health, science, and public administration, to
arts, culture, and sports-related roles. All other eligible profiles not
selected in the occupation-specific stream were also considered, with 236 LAAs issued. The lowest-ranked candidates scored 595 in the occupation-specific
selection and 640 in the general pool.
The International Education Stream issued 52 LAAs to
candidates meeting eligibility requirements, supporting international graduates
contributing to Manitoba’s workforce.
For the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, 40 candidates were
invited under strategic recruitment initiatives, with the lowest-ranked
candidate scoring 724.
Of the 558 LAAs issued in this draw, 158 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code, providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal
permanent residence.
