The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #49 on August 17, 2018, issuing a total of
515 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and
Skilled Worker Overseas streams. This draw demonstrated Manitoba’s continued
commitment to selecting skilled candidates who can meet the province’s labour
market demands.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 410 candidates
received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Lowest score invited: 500
This stream is aimed at individuals already employed in
Manitoba. Applicants with stable employment, relevant work experience, and
strong language proficiency are better positioned to secure invitations under
the Expression of Interest ranking system.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 105 invitations to
candidates residing outside Canada.
Lowest score invited: 642
This pathway targets skilled professionals who have the
qualifications and experience required to integrate successfully into
Manitoba’s labour market. Candidates typically demonstrate strong human capital
factors, including education, skilled work experience, and language abilities.
EOI Draw #49 reflected Manitoba’s balanced approach to
immigration, selecting candidates both within the province and from overseas.
By prioritizing skilled workers with in-demand experience, the program
continues to address provincial workforce needs while supporting economic
growth. Staying informed on draw results, minimum scores, and eligibility
requirements remains important for individuals planning to apply through the
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
