Manitoba PNP Expression of Interest Draw
#61
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted Expression of
Interest (EOI) Draw #61 on March 14, 2019, issuing a total of 274 Letters of
Advice to Apply (LAAs). This draw focused on the Skilled Worker Overseas stream
and candidates aligned with the federal Express Entry system, reflecting
Manitoba’s strategic approach to attracting highly skilled applicants.
Skilled Worker Overseas – Strategic
Recruitment
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 63 invitations to
candidates directly invited by the MPNP under strategic recruitment
initiatives.
Lowest-ranked candidate invited: 695
This targeted approach ensured that selected candidates demonstrated strong
human capital factors, including education credentials, relevant skilled work
experience, language proficiency, and potential ties to Manitoba that aligned
with the province’s labour market needs.
These criteria ensured that Express Entry-aligned candidates
had strong ties to Manitoba and met provincial labour market priorities,
increasing the likelihood of successful provincial nomination.
Expression of Interest Draw #61 highlighted Manitoba’s
strategic and selective overseas recruitment model, balancing invitations for
highly skilled candidates with eligibility requirements designed to meet
provincial labour market needs. Monitoring MPNP draw scores, stream
allocations, and Express Entry eligibility criteria remains critical for
prospective applicants planning their Manitoba immigration journey.
