PNP Draw Issues 1,070 ITAs with CRS Cut-Off of 674
On February 2, 2022, IRCC conducted Express Entry Draw #215,
once again focusing exclusively on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates.
This draw issued 1,070 Invitations to Apply (ITAs), with the lowest CRS score
set at 674.
This was a notable draw because the CRS cut-off dropped
significantly compared to the previous PNP rounds in January. Since all
nominees receive an automatic 600-point boost, a CRS of 674 suggests that many
candidates had base scores in the mid-70s before nomination showing that
provincial pathways were opening doors for a wider range of applicants.
For many skilled workers, this draw confirmed that a
provincial nomination could be the key turning point in their PR journey.
At A&M Canadian Immigration Law Corporation, we help
candidates to navigate PNP eligibility, prepare strong provincial and Express
Entry profiles and use nomination strategies to dramatically boost CRS.
Draw #215 highlighted how powerful PNP had become as
Canada’s preferred route for skilled immigration in early 2022.
