The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #29 on March 30, 2017, issuing a total of 225
Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and
Skilled Worker Overseas streams. This draw reflected Manitoba’s ongoing focus
on selecting skilled candidates to address provincial labour market needs.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 201 candidates
received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Lowest score invited: 657
This stream targets individuals already employed in
Manitoba. Candidates with steady employment, relevant work experience, and
strong language skills are generally more competitive in the Expression of
Interest system.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 24 invitations to
applicants residing outside Canada.
Lowest score invited: 698
This pathway is aimed at skilled professionals abroad who demonstrate the
education, experience, and language proficiency necessary to integrate
successfully into Manitoba’s workforce. Invitations are based on alignment with
provincial labour market priorities and the potential to contribute to the
local economy.
EOI Draw #29 illustrated Manitoba’s continued multi-stream
approach, combining skilled workers already in the province with overseas
applicants possessing in-demand skills. Monitoring draw results, cutoff scores,
and eligibility requirements remains essential for prospective applicants under
the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
