The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #33 on August 15, 2017, issuing a total of
443 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and
Skilled Worker Overseas streams. This draw highlighted Manitoba’s continued
commitment to selecting skilled candidates who can meet provincial labour
market needs.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 401 candidates
received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Lowest score invited: 585
This stream targets applicants already employed in Manitoba.
Candidates with steady employment, relevant work experience, and strong
language proficiency generally rank higher in the Expression of Interest pool.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 42 invitations to
applicants residing outside Canada.
Lowest score invited: 719
This pathway focuses on skilled professionals abroad who
demonstrate the education, work experience, and language skills necessary to
successfully integrate into Manitoba’s workforce. Candidates are assessed based
on their alignment with provincial labour market priorities.
EOI Draw #33 demonstrated Manitoba’s multi-stream strategy,
balancing skilled workers already in the province with overseas applicants who
possess in-demand skills. Monitoring draw results, score thresholds, and
eligibility requirements remains crucial for prospective applicants under the
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
