On July 2, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
Canada (IRCC) conducted Express Entry Draw #299, issuing 920 Invitations to
Apply (ITAs) under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The minimum CRS score
required for this round was 739, score consistent with PNP draws, where
candidates receive an additional 600 points after obtaining a provincial
nomination.
PNP-targeted draws remain a major part of Canada’s
immigration strategy, helping provinces and territories meet their specific
labour market needs. Because nominees already have provincial approval, these
draws generally have higher CRS thresholds and offer strong chances for those
with active nominations.
For individuals seeking permanent residency through Express
Entry, securing a provincial nomination continues to be one of the most
effective ways to boost CRS scores and increase the likelihood of receiving an
ITA.
