PNP Draw Issues 932 ITAs with CRS Cut-Off of 796
On June 8, 2022, IRCC conducted Express Entry Draw 224, once
again targeting candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). In this
round, 932 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued, and the minimum CRS score
required was 796, one of the highest cut-offs seen in early 2022.
This draw reflected the strong competitiveness of provincial nominees at that time. Because all PNP candidates receive an automatic 600 CRS points, a cut-off of 796 means that many invited applicants already had very strong core profiles even before nomination.
Draw 224 showed that provinces were nominating candidates with not only
in-demand skills but also excellent language scores, education, and work
experience. This created a pool of highly competitive applicants within Express
Entry.
This round reinforced that a provincial nomination works
best when combined with a solid Express Entry profile.
At A&M
Canadian Immigration Law Corporation, we help candidates:
✔ Strengthen core CRS scores
✔ Secure provincial nominations
✔ Align their profiles with Express Entry and PNP strategies
Draw 224 confirmed that in mid-2022, PNP was still the main
engine driving Express Entry invitations, and only the strongest profiles were
moving forward.
