On February 16,
2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted Express
Entry Draw #285, issuing 150 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the agriculture
and agri-food occupations category.
This was the
first agriculture-focused category-based draw of 2024, highlighting Canada’s
ongoing efforts to support essential sectors tied to food production, farm
operations, and agri-business. The minimum CRS score required for this round
was 437.
This
category-based draw recognizes the importance of skilled workers in agriculture
and agri-food, industries that play a critical role in Canada’s economy and
long-term sustainability. With a CRS cut-off of 437, candidates with experience
in eligible agricultural occupations had a meaningful opportunity to receive an
invitation. For applicants working in farming, food processing, or other
agri-food roles, this draw reinforces the value of specialized experience in
improving Express Entry prospects.
