On March 26, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
Canada (IRCC) carried out Express Entry Draw #291, issuing 1,500 Invitations to
Apply (ITAs) under the French language proficiency category. The minimum CRS
score for this draw was 388, offering a favorable opportunity for eligible
French-speaking candidates.
French category-based draws continue to support Canada’s
efforts to strengthen Francophone immigration outside Quebec. With a CRS
cut-off significantly lower than recent general draws, this round once again
highlights the advantage that strong French language skills can bring within
the Express Entry system.
Applicants who meet the language requirements for this
category often find themselves well-positioned for selection, even if their
overall CRS score may not be high enough for general rounds. A&M Canadian
Immigration Law Corporation can help you evaluate whether you qualify for
French-focused draws, improve your CRS standing, and navigate the Express Entry
process with clarity.
