Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #223 on July
4, 2024, issuing a total of 126 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This draw focused on international
graduates and skilled workers overseas, supporting Manitoba’s ongoing labour
market and immigration priorities.
Under the International Education Stream, 85 candidates who
met eligibility requirements were invited, reflecting Manitoba’s commitment to
retaining international graduates who have integrated into the provincial
workforce.
For the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, 41 candidates were
selected under a strategic recruitment initiative, with the lowest-ranked
candidate scoring 709. These invitations help Manitoba employers attract
skilled workers from outside the province to fill targeted labour shortages.
Of the 126 LAAs issued in this draw, 19 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code, providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal
permanent residence.
This draw highlights Manitoba’s balanced approach to
immigration, combining retention of international graduates with strategic
overseas recruitment to meet provincial workforce needs.
