Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #222 on June
25, 2024, issuing a total of 250 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the
Skilled Worker Overseas stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
(MPNP). This draw focused specifically on occupation-specific selections in the
nursing sector to meet Manitoba’s high-demand healthcare needs.
Eligible candidates declaring a nursing occupation as their
current role were considered. Occupations included registered nurses and
registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 31301), nurse practitioners (NOC 31302), licensed practical nurses (NOC 32101), and nurse aides, orderlies, and patient
service associates (NOC 33102). The lowest-ranked candidate invited had a score
of 516, reflecting the competitive selection within this priority sector.
Of the 250 LAAs issued in this draw, 93 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code, providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal
permanent residence.
This draw underscores Manitoba’s commitment to addressing
critical labour shortages in the healthcare sector while offering skilled
international professionals a pathway to settlement in the province.
