Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Draw – October 10, 2024

Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #230 on October 10, 2024, issuing a total of 234 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This draw focused on international graduates, skilled workers in Manitoba, and overseas skilled workers, reflecting the province’s targeted immigration approach.

Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 82 candidates who, along with their spouses, have completed post-secondary education in Manitoba were invited, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 845. This highlights Manitoba’s commitment to retaining highly qualified local talent.

For the International Education Stream, 114 candidates were selected, supporting the retention of international graduates contributing to the province’s workforce.

The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 38 invitations under a strategic recruitment initiative, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 711. These invitations help Manitoba employers attract skilled professionals from outside the province to address targeted labour shortages.

Of the 234 LAAs issued in this draw, 36 were granted to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code, providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal permanent residence.

This draw underscores Manitoba’s strategic balance of retaining local and international talent while recruiting skilled workers from overseas to meet provincial workforce needs.
