On July 16, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
Canada (IRCC) conducted Express Entry Draw #303, inviting 1,391 candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The minimum CRS score required for
this round was 670, reflecting the significant boost that a provincial
nomination provides to an applicant’s Express Entry profile.
PNP-focused draws allow provinces and territories to select
skilled workers who can meet local labour market needs. Because candidates with
a provincial nomination automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points, the
cut-off scores for PNP draws are generally higher than general or
category-based rounds.
For applicants seeking permanent residency, securing a
provincial nomination remains one of the most effective ways to increase CRS
scores and improve the likelihood of receiving an Invitation to Apply.
