Linking Express Entry Profile to an MPNP Nomination

A Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) enhanced nomination is connected with the federal Express Entry system. It provides a faster pathway to permanent residence because eligible nominees can continue through the Express Entry process instead of applying through the separate non-Express Entry provincial nominee stream.

However, receiving an MPNP nomination does not automatically connect the nomination to an Express Entry profile. Applicants must ensure that they have a valid Express Entry profile and provide accurate information when submitting their MPNP Expression of Interest (EOI). The information provided to MPNP must match the details in the federal Express Entry profile.

An enhanced MPNP nomination requires an eligible and active Express Entry profile. When the applicant accepts the nomination through their IRCC account, the nomination is added to their Express Entry profile, resulting in 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.

Applicants applying for an enhanced MPNP nomination must provide:

– Express Entry profile number

– Job Seeker validation code

– Accurate information matching their Express Entry profile

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need an Express Entry profile before applying for an enhanced MPNP nomination?

Yes. Applicants seeking an enhanced MPNP nomination must have a valid Express Entry profile before submitting their MPNP EOI. They must provide their Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker validation code.

2. Does MPNP automatically link my nomination to my Express Entry profile?

No. Applicants must provide accurate Express Entry information during the MPNP process. The nomination can only be connected when the correct Express Entry profile details are provided and the applicant accepts the nomination through their IRCC account.

3. What happens after I accept the MPNP nomination in my IRCC account?

Once accepted, the nomination is added to the applicant’s Express Entry profile, and the applicant receives 600 additional CRS points.

4. What if my Express Entry profile expires before I receive my MPNP nomination?

If an Express Entry profile expires, the applicant may need to create a new eligible profile and provide updated information to MPNP. The applicant should review their specific circumstances to determine the correct steps.

5. Can a base MPNP nomination be linked to Express Entry?

No. A base MPNP nomination is not connected to Express Entry. Applicants with a base nomination must apply for permanent residence through the separate provincial nominee process.

6. What are the benefits of an enhanced MPNP nomination?

An enhanced nomination is connected to Express Entry. After accepting the nomination, the applicant receives 600 additional CRS points, which can significantly increase their CRS score and allow them to continue through the Express Entry permanent residence process.
