Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #228 on
September 12, 2024, issuing a total of 206 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee
Program (MPNP). This draw focused on occupation-specific selections for
candidates and their spouses who have completed post-secondary education in
Manitoba.
Eligible candidates employed in high-demand culinary
occupations were considered, including cooks (NOC 63200) and chefs (NOC 62200).
A total of 206 LAAs were issued, reflecting Manitoba’s emphasis on addressing
critical labour shortages in the hospitality and culinary sectors.
Of the 206 LAAs issued, 21 were granted to candidates who
declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code,
providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal permanent residence.
This draw highlights Manitoba’s targeted approach to
immigration, supporting skilled local workers while enhancing the province’s
workforce in priority sectors.
