The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #26 on January 27, 2017, issuing a total of
189 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and
Skilled Worker Overseas streams. This draw reflected Manitoba’s ongoing
commitment to selecting skilled candidates who can contribute to the province’s
labour market and economic development.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 150 candidates
received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
● Lowest score
invited: 734
This stream targets applicants already employed in Manitoba.
Candidates with stable employment, relevant work experience, and strong
language proficiency are generally well-positioned to receive invitations
through the Expression of Interest system.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 39 invitations to
candidates residing outside Canada.
● Lowest score
invited: 707
This pathway aims to attract skilled professionals from
abroad who possess the education, work experience, and language skills required
to integrate successfully into Manitoba’s workforce. Candidates are assessed
based on their alignment with provincial labour market priorities.
EOI Draw #26 highlighted Manitoba’s strategic approach to
immigration, balancing the selection of skilled workers already in the province
with overseas applicants who meet the province’s labour market needs. Keeping
track of draw results, minimum scores, and eligibility requirements is
essential for prospective applicants under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee
Program.
