The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #27 on February 27, 2017, issuing a total of
324 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and
Skilled Worker Overseas streams. This draw reflects Manitoba’s continued effort
to select skilled candidates who can contribute to the province’s labour market
and economic growth.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 200 candidates
received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Lowest score invited: 719
This stream is designed for individuals already employed in
Manitoba. Candidates with steady employment, relevant work experience, and
strong language skills are generally more competitive within the Expression of
Interest system.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 124 invitations to
candidates residing outside Canada.
Lowest score invited: 575
This pathway targets skilled professionals abroad who
demonstrate the qualifications, work experience, and potential to integrate
successfully into Manitoba’s workforce. Candidates are assessed based on their
alignment with provincial labour market priorities and settlement potential.
EOI Draw #27 showcased Manitoba’s balanced immigration
strategy, combining the selection of skilled workers already in the province
with overseas applicants who possess in-demand skills. Monitoring draw results,
cutoff scores, and eligibility requirements is essential for prospective
applicants pursuing immigration through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee
Program.
