The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #36 on November 23, 2017, issuing a total of
272 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and
Skilled Worker Overseas streams. This draw highlighted Manitoba’s continued
focus on attracting skilled candidates to address provincial labour market
needs.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 250 candidates
received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Lowest score invited: 567
This stream is designed for applicants already employed in
Manitoba. Candidates with steady employment, relevant experience, and strong
language skills are generally more competitive in the Expression of Interest
system.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 22 invitations to
applicants residing outside Canada.
Lowest score invited: 664
This pathway targets skilled professionals abroad who
demonstrate the education, work experience, and language proficiency required
to integrate successfully into Manitoba’s workforce. Selection focuses on
alignment with provincial labour market priorities.
EOI Draw #36 illustrated Manitoba’s multi-stream approach,
combining skilled workers already in the province with overseas applicants
possessing in-demand skills. Monitoring draw results, minimum scores, and
eligibility requirements remains essential for prospective applicants under the
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
