The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #43 on April 13, 2018, issuing a total of 400
Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to eligible candidates. Invitations were
distributed through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas
pathways, continuing Manitoba’s efforts to attract skilled individuals who can
contribute to the province’s workforce and economic growth.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 316
candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Lowest score invited: 534
This pathway focuses on individuals who are already employed
in Manitoba and have established ties with local employers. Candidates with
stable employment, relevant work experience, and strong language abilities
generally rank higher in the Expression of Interest system.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream issued 84 invitations to
candidates residing outside Canada.
Lowest score invited: 703
This stream is designed to attract skilled professionals who
demonstrate the ability to successfully settle and contribute to Manitoba’s
economy. Successful applicants typically have strong human capital factors such
as education, work experience, language proficiency, and connections that align
with provincial labour market needs.
EOI Draw #43 highlighted Manitoba’s continued focus on
selecting skilled workers both within the province and internationally. By
inviting candidates through these pathways, the province aims to address labour
shortages and support economic development. Keeping track of draw results,
minimum score requirements, and program eligibility criteria can help
prospective applicants better plan their pathway under the Manitoba Provincial
Nominee Program.
