Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #176 on April
20, 2023, issuing a total of 507 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the
Skilled Worker in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker
Overseas streams.
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 249 candidates in occupation-specific selections were invited. Eligible profiles included
those currently employed in Manitoba in occupations identified with high labour
needs based on Statistics Canada data. The National Occupational Classification
(NOC) 2021 major groups considered were 63 – Occupations in sales and services
and 64 – Sales and service representatives and other customer and personal
services occupations. All other eligible profiles not selected in the
occupation-specific stream were also considered, with 194 LAAs issued. The
lowest-ranked candidates scored 615 in the occupation-specific selection and
651 in the general pool.
The International Education Stream issued 38 LAAs to
candidates meeting the eligibility requirements, supporting international
graduates contributing to Manitoba’s workforce.
For the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, 26 candidates were
invited under strategic recruitment initiatives, with the lowest-ranked
candidate scoring 719.
Of the 507 LAAs issued in this draw, 91 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code, providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal
permanent residence.
