Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #184 on June
29, 2023, issuing a total of 587 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the
Skilled Worker in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker
Overseas streams.
Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, 315 candidates were invited through occupation-specific selection. Eligible profiles included
individuals currently employed in Manitoba in occupations identified with high
labour needs based on Statistics Canada data. The occupations considered
included restaurant and food service managers (NOC 60030), food service
supervisors (NOC 62020), and food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, and
related support occupations (NOC 65201). All other eligible profiles not selected
in the occupation-specific stream were also considered, with 184 LAAs issued.
The lowest-ranked candidates scored 613 in the occupation-specific selection
and 662 in the general pool.
The International Education Stream issued 62 LAAs to
candidates meeting eligibility requirements, supporting international graduates
contributing to Manitoba’s workforce.
For the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, 26 candidates were
invited under strategic recruitment initiatives, with the lowest-ranked
candidate scoring 717.
Of the 587 LAAs issued in this draw, 162 were granted to
candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker
validation code, providing a pathway from provincial nomination to federal
permanent residence.
